The Harris family were such troopers... it was cold & windy, but they were still just so cute! (And I loved how little Avery showed her sassy side... so much like her cousin- see here)

A tribute to "Obi-wan-keno-lee"

A true Jedi, Lee Bertrand, he was (and is).

Although I really was only beginning to know him well, he was someone who brighten my day each time I came in contact with him.  Last year teaching, after he'd drop off his granddaughters, Lee would always walk past my classroom and say something kind... which was a nice change from the "your huge" type comments that I would receive during the last months of my pregnancy.  I so looked forward to those quick interactions... it was the perfect start to my day, and gave me just the little boost that I often needed while teaching.  Lee you will be missed...
