2012 Primary Theme-Choose The Right- Real Heroes (2)

Here are bookmarks our ward will be giving to the spotlight kid for the week.  They are designed to be developed as a 4x6 and then cut in half.  The other two printables are binder covers or our ward will be putting one of them up on each class room door.  These heroes are designed to be "teenage-ish" age, so they can work for primary or YW/YM, but I might design more kid looking ones sometime in the future (say after the craziness of Christmas is over!)
Just right click to save.  If that doesn't work, I can put them up on a download site..

2012 Primary Theme-Choose The Right- Real Heroes

After hearing what the new Primary theme would be, I started thinking about what would be some fun ideas to go with the theme.  My first thoughts were "Chews the Right" and incorporate gum balls (which I'm still going to try to design a teacher incentive for that theme).  Then, I had this thought of Super Heroes!  This is a topic I am quite familiar with since I have three boys!  And my boys are obsessed with all thing Super Hero!
I designed with and without the border.  I usually like to print at Costco, and if I want a black border I just select to do that under the printing options.  For some reason, whenever I try to print with borders, they get cropped off.

Our presidency is still brainstorming how we are going to incorporate this into our year.  We are thinking of giving each kid a copy of the hero for their birthday, and probably a CTR Super Hero themed kick off activity.  I'll keep posting as we finalize our ideas.  If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!!

Baby Derek

I really enjoyed photographing Cameron and Vivian's new little man.  He's so cute and is lucky to have such cool parent (and grandparents too!)

I've loved being able to photograph Cameron and Vivian over the years (maybe I will actually post their engagement and wedding sometime! :) They are such a fun couple and it's so neat to see them become parents. Love you guys!

Baby Jules

Isn't she adorable!

Arise and Shine Forth

To go along with the new YW theme for 2011, I designed a bookmark and binder covers.  The bookmark is designed so that it can be printed as a 4x6 photo print ($.13 at Costco/Sam's Club) and then cut in half. The binder covers and just the normal 8.5x11 size.

Royal

My friend Sunny asked me to design a print for her daughters' rooms after hearing a quote from the last LDS General Conference.  I think it is so important for young girls (and older ones too actually) to realize that they are daughters of God.  I just love this phrase.

I also did two different temple crowns, wasn't sure which one I liked best and did a chandelier too! What do you think?

Flash back

As I was going through my massive amount of photos on my iphoto (like 17,000 something! Yikes!) and I stubbled upon this one I took in St. Mark's square in Venice.  It's been scanned in (so not great quality), since that was "way back" in like 2003, and I shot with my old school Canon (which I LOVED!)  Just thought I would share one of my favorite photos from my study aboard... now I'm dying to go back! Love Europe!

New Attorney Invites

These are the invites I designed for my husbands two night "BAR fest!" (meaning he passed the California State BAR exam!)

Preschool

One of the reasons that I am SO glad I get to stay home now is that I will be able to teach preschool with Orin!  On his first day, I did a quick First Day of Preschool photo shoot... aren't those kids just too cute!  I feel oh so blessed to be where I'm at right now in life!

If you know of any preschool groups that would like pictures, I'd love to do it!
Preschool age is super fun!

YW 2012 theme- free printable

First of all, I can not believe that we are coming up on a new year (well in a few months, but it sure goes fast)... and it is going to be 2012! So crazy! My mom is serving in the Young Women's stake presidency and asked me to design a poster for the new theme "Arise and Shine Forth" (which was the theme in 2006 when I was in the YW)! Here is what I came up with...

If you are serving in the LDS Youth program and want to use this print feel free! You can download from HERE!
It's designed for a 20x30 poster, which works for 4x6. I also made a 20x20 size If you contact me, I can design it in another size as well. I thought bookmarks would be fun too!

Anderson family

My freshman year @ BYU (Go Cougars!) I met this amazing girl... Katie! Oh what fun & wild (well BYU standard wild!) times we had.  It was seriously so much fun to catch up and see her and her adorable family! (It was like 115 degrees outside, they were such troopers!)
